Welcome. This blog is intended to act as a forum to discuss any topic in the arena of sports cards and non-sports cards. We can discuss recent issues, vintage cards, grading services, auction house, eBay, or any other topic that stands arises in the hobby.
To get things started, let me tell you a little about me. I collect all kinds cards. I have been collective actively since I was 9 years old, starting with 1978 Topps baseball. My collection really got going in 1979 looking for a card of Thurman Munson. You see, I am originally from suburban Canton, Ohio, and Munson was a local hero. He died in a plane crash a few miles from my house, and since I didn't have a Munson card, I began getting cards in earnest trying to get one. The rest is history.
Today, I primarily collect baseball, football, and NASCAR cards, but I also collect basketball and hockey. I have a nice vintage collection, but I am by no means a "heavy hitter." I also have a nice little collection of non-sports cards.
I am looking forward to trying this grand little experiment to increase the discussion about sports cards, but away from certain popular chat boards populated by spoiled children with foul mouths, and away from the commercial sites that are too close to the card companies to be objective.
